I would like to ask for help. I have no deep knowledge about rooting android devices and installing custom roms. You might be triggered from the actions that I did that led me to this issue.
The phone was given to us from our company. It was already rooted. Without deep knowledge about android or roots etc, I factory reset it.
So the phone restarted and automatically brought me to TWRP Recovery mode.
The phone won’t start and it will always bring to the recovery so I thought the Custom ROM was deleted when I reset it. I tried to search on how to install new custom roms using twrp but attempts are unsuccessful. Here is the link of the ROM I used for installation: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/samsung-galaxy-j5-2016-roms-kernels-recoveries–other-development/unofficial-pixel-experience-t4112931
I encountered no errors but two E: Unknown Command error logs.
I thought that the ROM installation failure was because the TWRP Recovery version is not updated, so I tried to update it to the latest version from 3.0.2-0 to 3.4.0-0. I downloaded the latest TWRP version for J5(2016) IMG in the SD Card.
https://dl.twrp.me/j5nlte/ and install the IMG via TWRP Recovery.
These are the actions in my TWRP Recovery Update:
Install > selected the new TWRP IMG from the SD Card > Recovery > Swiped to confirm Flash > Reboot System.
After the actions above, my phone will no longer bring me to TWRP Recovery no matter how many times I tried. The phone will just flash the Samsung J5 logo and will just turn off the display. Same thing happens if I press the Volume Up + Power Button + Home Button simultaneously.
Is this phone a brick now? If not, how to recover it? Please to don’t be too harsh, I know nothing. 🙁
