My Galaxy A6 downloads software updates, but when it starts to install, the robot icon falls over with the message “error”, always at the 25% mark. I’ve tried to download and install three or four, maybe five times, always the same result. What can I do to complete the update?

First off, try downloading and installing Smart Switch on your computer. After installation, connect your Galaxy A6 to your machine. Smart Switch should be able to detect it and then use the application to update your device.
I think doing a reset before updating the device will work on this problem, but let that be your last resort if the first one fails.
