If your Galaxy S10 is stuck on Samsung logo and won’t boot up, it can be a software-related issue. This usually happens when having bad updates. On the brighter side, this screen issue is fixable on your end. The first troubleshooting tweak you can try is to forced reboot your device. To do so, follow these steps:
1. simultaneously press and hold the Power and the Volume Down button for at least 10 seconds.
2. When the Maintenance Boot Mode screen appears, release both buttons.
3. Then from the Maintenance Mode screen, select the Normal Boot option by pressing the Volume keys, then wait for at least 90 seconds for the phone to restart.
However, if you are not prompted with the Maintenance Mode screen after pressing the Power and Volume down button, just wait for the phone to completely power down.
If the first trick fails to fix the problem, try to turn off your phone the usual way. Here is how:
1. Press and hold the Power button and tap Power Off. If the Power menu won’t show up, then you need to wait until your phone’s battery is already drained.
It make take a couple of hours for the phone’s battery to become empty.
Once the battery has been emptied, charge it for at least 30 minutes and don’t attempt to turn on the phone before the said time.
After charging the phone, restart it to Safe Mode. Here’s what you need to do:
1. With the Galaxy s10 powered off, press and hold the Power key past the model name screen.
2. Release the key when the “SAMSUNG” logo appears.
3. Right after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume Down button and continue holding until your Galaxy S10 finishes restarting.
4. Once you see Safe Mode in the bottom left corner of the screen, release the Volume Down button.
If you were able to fix the problem by restarting your phone to Safe Mode, this means that a third-party app has prevented your Galaxy phone from booting up. Being said, you need to check which third-party app is causing the problem and uninstall it if necessary.
But if you are still unable to pass through the Samsung logo up to this point, then you need to boot your phone to Recovery Mode. Afterwards, clear the cache partition to eliminate junk files that trigger the phone to be stuck on Samsung logo. Follow these steps:
1. While your phone is off, press and hold the Volume Up button and the Bixby button simultaneously.
2. Continue holding both buttons, then press and hold the Power button.
3. Once the Recovery Mode screen appears, release all the buttons.
Once your phone has successfully booted up in Recovery Mode, proceed to wipe the cache partition on your device.
If everything else fails, your last option is to Wipe Data/Factory Reset your phone (that is if you are able to pass through the Samsung logo screen).
If you have tried all these solutions to no avail, then basically the problem is already beyond your control. Being said, you need to contact Samsung Support and schedule for a service repair appointment, or you can also visit their nearest local office.
