If it shuts down while using the phone, a lot of factors can cause the issue like erratic apps, incorrect settings or a system glitch. Performing a reset on your network settings or deleting unused apps might help in clearing the system glitch. If it shuts down randomly, it could be a firmware problem like a corrupted operating system, especially if you’ve been using it for quite some time already. Performing a safe boot process might clear the problem on your device. To perform a safe mode boot up, simply turn off your device. Then press and hold the power button and the volume down button. Once the phone starts to boot up, release the power button but continue holding the volume down button until the phone finished restarting. Safe mode will be displayed at the lower left corner and you may release the volume down button once you see it. If your phone still shuts down, your last resort is to perform a factory reset. Please be reminded that this will erase all data on your phone, so better back up your files prior performing this process. To give this a try, just turn off the device completely. Then press and hold the Volume Up and the Home buttons together, and then press and hold the power button. When you feel a vibration on your phone, release both the home and power buttons but continue pressing the Volume Up button. If you’ll see the Android System Recovery on your screen, release the Volume Up button. Highlight the “wipe data/factory reset” option by pressing the volume down button repeatedly. Once it’s highlighted, press the power button to select it. Using the volume down button again, highlight “Yes – delete all user data” option and press the power button to select it. Once the reset has been completed, highlight the “Reboot System Now” option and press the power button to select it. Wait for your Note 4 to reboot and check if the issue has been fixed. The aforementioned steps are meant to cure software glitches on your device. If your phone still shuts down after performing them, it might be time for you to visit the nearest service center at your area. This problem might be due to a defective batter or a loose battery connector. An authorized technician could check and repair it if that’s the case. 0 Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Leave an answerYou must login or register to add a new answer.
