I have a Samsung Galaxy S9. There were at least 2 updates that Verizon pushed this year so far, and after the 2nd to last one this problem started. The current version of my software is 2.0 Android version 10, Android Security patch level April 1, 2020. (no joke, I hope!)
Now when I open my messages app, which is the native Samsung app, and try to send pictures, recently taken pictures (from the last few days) are blank. The thumbnails are black, but I can pick them, but can’t see what picture they are. Then when I select the picture and try to send it, the app just hour glasses and the picture fails to send. Same thing happens if I open the Slack app and try to send pictures.
Things I have tried:
Restarting phone: no change
Resetting Network settings: no change
Disconnecting from wifi: no change
Did Samsung change something related to thumbnails/photos/cacheing in any of the last two updates that affect sending pictures in apps?
