If your Galaxy Smartwatch won’t turn on for no possible reason, try to charge the watch for at least 30 minutes as the battery could have been emptied. But before you start troubleshooting your watch, check out the information listed below:
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
1. Don’t use a different cable or power adapter as this may caused the watch to be damaged. Thus, using the original charging cable, power adapter, and dock/cradle is recommended.
2. Remove all the plastic packaging on your Galaxy Smartwatch.
3. The charging pins and the cradle on the watch should be clean. If needed, clean them with soft cloth.
4. Check the charging pins and ensure that they are not bent.
5. The Micro USB port must be free of dust or debris. Blow on the port to remove the dirt if needed.
Once you see an indication that the watch is charging, you can start troubleshooting your Smartwatch device.
RESTART YOUR GALAXY SMARTWATCH
1. First, press the Home button at the bottom of the Watch face to unlock the device.
2. Then press and hold the Home button and release once the options menu appears.
3. Tap Power off from the options menu.
4. Once the watch is already off, press and hold the Power button until the watch logo appears.
If your Galaxy Smartwatch is still unresponsive and won’t turn on using the provided steps above, you might consider restoring the device to factory default settings (Factory Reset). Since you can’t do it from the settings menu, we will use the hard keys to do the Factory Reset.
Here’s how:
1. Press and hold the Power/Home button to completely turn off the device.
2. Continue pressing down and wait until the Rebooting message appears at the bottom of the watch.
3. Immediately, while doing multiple presses, continue pressing down the Power/Home button and release when the Select REBOOT MODE screen appears.
4. Press the Power/Home button to scroll through options, then select Recovery.
5. Then press and hold the Power/Home button again until the watch starts rebooting.
6. The process may take several minutes. Once the device shows the process of deleting data, the factory reset has been successfully done.
