Hello!
I recently ran into an issue on my iPhone 11 Pro Max where I was unable to receive phone calls. I could call out, and data worked just fine, but I could not receive any phone calls.
I frantically searched the internet, I called my service provider, I did anything and everything I could to try to fix the issue. My service provider sent me a new SIM card, after reprogramming every service feature they could on my phone.
Received the new SIM card, reactivated my phone, and unfortunately, same exact thing happened…could not receive phone calls. So then I took to the internet to fix it myself, otherwise I was going to have to switch service providers.
After being with the same service provider for the last 12 years, I really didnt want to do that, and honestly didnt want to go through the hassle.
I found your site: https://www.ikream.com/how-to-fix-an-apple-iphone-that-cant-receive-calls-after-the-ios-13-update-34108
I followed the guide one by one, got down to the last step of “Resetting my iPhone” – which we all know the hassle that comes with that.
It is a process, even if you have a recent back up and can just restore it to “almost like” what you had right before you reset. But, it had to be done, even if it was actually kind of nice to only call out to people you wanted to talk to and not receive any calls. It just wasn’t going to be a good thing long term.
Finally, everything was reset and I told my wife “Okay, call me now…”
Nothing. Rings on her end, hear it go to voicemail and my phone was just sitting there like a lame duck. I went to bed, dreading the fact that I either had to go to Apple and explain everything AGAIN, just to try and see what they would be willing to work out since I did have Apple Care protection.
BUT, the next morning, I still felt compelled to mess with a few more things…and in the settings just to try anything even if it seemed so ridiculous to think that could be the issue. I found the below menu, that i have seen a ton of times, but never even thought could be the issue.
I had “LTE, VoLTE On” checked. So I checked “LTE, VoLTE Off”, and picked my work phone up like I had done over 100 times the last week, and called my phone.
Would you know, that my Apple Watch starts vibrating and my phone lights up…there it was my work phone number flashing away on my phone.
IT WORKED!!! I can receive phone calls…and none of my previous attempts to fix it were necessary. OMG! As I start to get frustrated just thinking about it, I quickly just felt relieved. Whether the steps worked in my personal case or not, I was grateful that there are sites and people out there that put the hard work into giving us guides like the one you have written. So I decided that i would reach out to you and give you my experience and possibly another step in your list of possible solutions. Why not help the people that help us when we have these issues.
I just want to say thank you for the hard work you put into creating these guides and I hope my experience can add to your helpful knowledge so you can continue to give people the successful tips that you have already.

I’m wondering if this has something to do with my issue. I can make and receive calls but the signal quality doesn’t last but for a few minutes and the person I’m speaking to starts cutting out, bad. It’s like I’m in a tunnel and happens whether I’m on data or WiFi. Extremely frustrating and I’m on my 2nd replacement device from Asurion; I’m almost positive it’s a hardware issue (receiver) but proving that isn’t an easy task. I’m so over dealing with AT&T and Asurion, which has forced me to sign 2 affidavits during this fiasco. I’m literally about to give up and switch carriers
