Hello, I was using my new LG G6 and it has been fine since I got it a few months ago from warranty/insurance from t-mobile. My old one I had for years and suddenly became unresponsive so I got a new one. However, this one is fairly new I don’t understand the reason unless it was an app I downloaded. It won’t turn back on! It was literally fine and when the battery died (which my phone never really dies I make sure to charge it but I don’t know if that’s bad?) and when the battery died. It just never turned back on NOR is being responsive to the charger. Keep trying the troubleshooting volume down power key for seconds – even to a minute. and nothing! I don’t want to get a new phone again! Please help!

Indeed, one of the possible reasons why a phone will die or becomes unresponsive is due to faulty apps. Or it could be due to the firmware of the phone itself. Here are the things that you can try to possibly fix the problem:
1. Check the charger and the cable. Check the USB port of your charger and make sure that it has no lint, dirt, or bent pins that can hinder the current flow resulting the phone not charge at all. Make sure as well that the cable has no damage.
If there’s nothing wrong with the charger and the cable, try the next solution:
2. Soft reset your device while charging. Try this if the phone is not heating up when connected to the charger. Charge your phone for a few minutes. While it is charging, simultaneously press and hold the Volume Down and the Power keys for 10 seconds. This should fix the problem especially if the issue is caused by random glitches.
3. If your device is still not charging or won’t turn on up to this point, attempt to boot your phone in Recovery Mode. Note that this process will wipe out everything that is saved on your device, so backup your files if possible before you get started.
While the device is off, do these steps:
> Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons.
> Once the LG logo appears, quickly release and then re-hold the Power button while holding down the Volume button.
> Factory Data Reset appears.
> Then press the Volume Down key to highlight Yes.
> Press the Power button to confirm.
> Erase all user data and restore default settings will appear.
> Press the Volume Down button to highlight Yes.
> Press the Power button to reset the device.
