A few days ago I was taking a shower while I was watching Netflix as usual, that day the water touched the phone but nothing strange, I dried my phone with the towel and was functioning as per normal.
I went outside to dry my hair and I tried to charge my phone before going to work, then “Emergency Override” message appeared in my screen, I disconnected and try to dry the lighting port a few times but appeared the same message so I didn’t connect the phone to electricity anymore.
I came to work as usual and my phone was functioning, all normal again, also allowed me to charge the phone. After few hours I was using my Iphone, then the screen started flickering and 30 seconds later the screen became black, I though the phone was dead, but my iWatch was still connected to my Iphone and performing well but the screen was dead.
I went to Apple Store and they tried to change the display twice, the screen was not black but was still flickering and the didn’t know the root of the problem, was really frustrating because they didn’t notice any water damage.
I was worry about my phone but also my data, I tried to connect via Airplay to my TV, but was really difficult but using an official Apple lighting/HDMI cable I connected the Iphone to my TV and the phone screen appeared in the TV, and now I am doing a backup.
Is any way to make work the screen again, did you encounter a similar problem before? I would appreciate any help and save some money…
Thank you very much!
