Phone screen broke after falling on ground. Half the screen was smashed, but the phone was otherwise functional. I replaced the screen, and now the phone is stuck in a boot loop.
Whenever the battery and charger is plugged in, the phone doesn’t even boot unless the power button is held for a long time. When I disconnect the battery and plug in the charger, the phone stays in a boot loop.
I’ve tried isolating the problem so that only the screen and charger are connected to the motherboard, but that didn’t fix the issue, so maybe I’ve screwed something up with the motherboard. Didn’t see any torn up components or pads or ribbon cables though.
Any idea how to fix this issue? Do I need to get a new battery as well? I don’t want to pour any more money than I need into a broken phone. Is this too messed up to fix?
