I can not get a answer that helps me at all. I receive messages from Iphone users and I get the texts just fine, but if they send me a picture, I get a download that I need to tap. I do that and it says downloading but actually does nothing. I can send pictures to myself just fine. So it is not my device. But I have several work mates that have Iphones and I can not see any pictures that they send me. Help. I can not reset my APN because “set to default” is greyed out. My data is on. I have emptied my cache. I have cleared data. I have forced stop. I am at my wits end. I prefer not to reset my device. Can anyone help me.

TY But I have always had an android. My issue seems to be anyone who has an IPhone can not send me pictures. The only change that has occurred is that ViginMobile, my previous carrier, has merged and become Boost Mobile. I was assured there would be no changes but this seems to not be true. Also let me state that I DO have wi-fi enabled at my home, and can not see images, but when I go to work, I can then download and see them. Why would I only be able to see these where I work? I’m really confused. I did take out my battery and try to reset that way, but still nothing. TY for replying.

Have you switched phone from iPhone to Android and kept the same phone number? If so, you need to de-register your phone number iMessage as the MMS sent from iOS users may still routed to iMessage System and not through your current carrier. If you still have the old iPhone with you, do these:
> Insert the SIM card to your iPhone.
> Enable your iPhone’s cellular data or connect to a WiFi network. You need to have a 3G or LTE connection.
> Tap Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.
> Tap Settings > FaceTime and turn off FaceTime.
However, if you no longer have the iPhone without, you can unregister your phone number to iMessage online. Visit this link: https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/
But if you haven’t switched from iOS to Android, try restarting your phone by removing the battery for at least 30 seconds, put it back on, turn on the device then reset your phone’s network settings.
Reset network settings won’t affect the saved files in your phone. Thus, this will rule out network connectivity issues that may have hindered your device from receiving messages from iOS users. Here’s how:
> Open Settings app.
> Tap General management.
> Tap Reset.
> Tap Reset network settings.
> Tap RESET SETTINGS button.
> Restart your J3 emerge and check if the problem has been fixed.
If the problem persists, your last option is to restore your phone to factory default settings (Master/Factory reset). But since you have mentioned that you don’t want to restore your phone to factory default, then it is best to contact your network provider for recommendations.
