For iPhone 6s and earlier model: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons and release when the Apple logo appears. For iPhone 8 or later: Quickly press and release the Volume Up button. Then, quickly press and release the Volume Down button. Lastly, press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears. For iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold both the Top (or Side) button and the Volume Down buttons and release when the Apple logo appears on the screen. If your iPhone still won’t turn on or can’t pass through the startup screen, charge your phone for at least an hour. While the phone is connected to the charger, see to it that it shows the charging indicator, the problem could be with the jack, USB cable, or power adapter. Being said, ensure that the charger is plugged in properly, the charging port is free of debris, and the USB cable is not damaged. If needed, try to use a different power adapter or USB cable; if available. If the phone has enough battery life and yet still unable to turn on or stuck on the startup screen, update your iPhone via Recovery Mode on iTunes. This process will require you a Mac or Windows computer with the latest iTunes software installed. The PC should also be connected to the internet. If these requirements are met, here’s what you need to do: 1. Using the supplied USB cable, connect your iPhone to the computer. 2. Open iTunes and wait until it recognizes your iPhone. 3. While connected to the computer, do these steps: For iPhone 6s or earlier: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery mode screen. For iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold the Top (or Side) and Volume Down buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery mode screen. For iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the recovery mode screen. 4. You will then be prompted with the options to Update or Restore. Select Update. Doing so will command your computer to reinstall iOS without wiping everything from your iPhone’s memory. It may take up to 15 minutes for the computer to download the software for your iPhone. If the problem still persists up to this point, we recommend contacting Apple Support to schedule a tech visit or other recommendations. 5 Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Tiana 0 Questions 5 Answers 1 Best Answer 35 Points View Profile Tiana Added an answer on January 29, 2021 at 5:50 am Hello, you could try to restore your iPhone via iTunes, but this will delete all data on your device and you had better back them up earlier.
