Restart your iPhone. Clearing out cache files on your device and refreshing your phone’s operating system is one of the effective ways in fixing minor software errors. Here’s what you need to do: > Press and hold the Side/Power button and either Volume buttons simultaneously for a few seconds. > Release both buttons when you see the Slide to Power Off prompt. > Drag the slider to the right to turn your iPhone off. > After 30 seconds, press and hold the Side/Power button until the Apple logo appears. Then check if your iPhone X is already producing sounds. 2. Toggle your phone’s ringer switch off and on again. If the first option didn’t work, try to turn the ringer off and on again. Doing so will refresh your phone’s ringer system which could have been inflicted by random glitches. > Flip the Ringer switch to enable Silent mode from the top edge of your phone. Doing so will disable the sound and the switch is in red/orange position. You will then be prompted with a screen notification that the phone has been muted or silenced. > Wait for a few seconds, then flip the ringer switch again to turn the Ringer Mode back on. Make sure as well that the Volume level of your device is not set to low. Press the Volume key upward to increase your phone’s volume level. Then check if the audio issue has been fixed. 3. Reset all settings. Erratic settings configuration can also be the underlying cause. If you recently configured your phone’s settings when the issue arise, try restoring the settings to default to delete misconfigured values and options. Doing so will not affect your phone’s saved data, so a back-up isn’t necessary. Try this: > Tap Settings. > Select General. > Tap Reset. > Tap Reset Network settings. > Enter your passcode when asked. > Then select the option to confirm the action. Wait for the phone to boot up completely. Once it’s back on, check the phone if it is already producing audio output. 4. Toggle the Bluetooth Off. When your phone is paired to a Bluetooth device, the sound output will automatically be routed to it. Hence, the phone’s speaker will most likely become muted. To rule this out, check Bluetooth settings and make sure it is off. > Go to Settings. > Select Bluetooth. If the switch is ON, toggle it to turn the feature OFF. Previously connected accessories will then be disconnected, and the phone will start producing sound again. 5. Factory reset your iPhone X. If the phone is still not producing any sounds up to this point, you might need to restore your phone to factory default settings. Note that this reset will cause data loss so backing up your files beforehand is a must. Once you are set, follow these steps; > Tap Settings. > Tap General. > Scroll to and tap Reset. > Select the option to Erase all content and settings. > Enter your device passcode to continue. > Then tap the option to confirm reset. When the phone finished to reboot, follow the onscreen instructions for the initial setup. Then check if the problem is already fixed. 0 Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Leave an answerYou must login or register to add a new answer.
