Unfortunately this doesn’t work because I don’t have duplicate CONTACTS I duplicated ADDRESSES within a contract.

This can happen when you synced from multiple sources. To delete duplicate contacts with similar phone numbers or email address, try this out:
> Launch the Contacts app on your Samsung device.
> Tap Menu (three horizontal lines)
> Select Manage Contacts
> Tap Merge Contacts
> Then select the contacts you want to merge
> Then tap Merge
