Bright green screen because of an update?

I recently cut off the mobile phone service and unlimited data so that the phone was only really useful when connected to wifi. After that I updated it and ever since almost everyday for a couple of minutes itll get this bright neon green flashing screen. I have this notification stating that the profile update could be completed and everytime I try it dosent work. I’ll admit iv dropped the phone on numerous occasions. The glass of the back and front of the screen is crack and chipped in different places. What I’m trying to say is: could the green flashing screen be caused by an update issue?
