- I just recently purchased an iPhone 8 Plus second hand. The previous owner stated that they had it plugged in overnight and woke up to a black screen. I purchased the phone rather cheap, as I am capable of fixing and or repairing it. I quickly replaced the lcd and digitizer plus screen. I purchased a new charging port as well but haven’t replaced it yet. I began a little further research today to find I could soft reset. Tried that and nothing still.
- Now, the unique thing about my situation is, my black screen of death has a glitch. After putting the phone back together today, I plugged it in and low and behold, a charging symbol. I waited about 5 mins or so, and powered the phone on. At which time I got the Apple symbol and the phone appeared to be booting. Then, just as fast as it appeared, it vanished, and returned to its original state, not responding to anything. I feel as though I should change the IC or PMIC now but would like some advice to cover all easy fix issues I may have missed thus far. Thx and god bless
